About Taylor Kaufman

Taylor Kaufman has been living in other worlds since she was a young girl tucked away in her Frederick, Maryland, bedroom with a book in her lap. For Taylor, writing was never just a hobby; it was a sanctuary. Whether she was processing deep emotions, escaping a bad day, or feeling the spark of a new idea, the page was where she made sense of the world.
That creative drive led her to a degree in Graphic Design, a skill she eventually used to bring her debut novel, Shipwrecked in Love, to life. Written during a season when it felt like everything was falling apart, the book is a piece of her soul—one she personally guided through every stage of writing, editing, and cover design.
Her roots in vulnerability run deep. In college, Taylor published two poetry collections written during her high school years—raw, honest works where she "carved open her heart" to discuss life as a plus-size woman, her struggles with anxiety, and the complexities of relationships. She writes with the hope that her words might be the lifeline someone else needs to hear.
Today, Taylor still calls Frederick home. When she isn't finding inspiration for new characters while walking along Carroll Creek, you can find her "couch rotting" with her cat—likely lost in a book, a new manuscript, or the latest binge-worthy show.
